Your tour begins in San Salvador before enjoying a visit to the town of La Palma, famous for its colorful wood handicrafts. Your tour also visits the quaint, colonial town of Suchitoto, the only village in El Salvador with cobblestone streets. This tour also includes an overnight on the beautiful El Cuco Beach on the Salvadorian coast.

Flight to San Salvador. Upon arrival, be greeted for airport reception and transferred to the hotel.
Today will start in San Salvador here you will go to the historic center of the city with Iglesia el Rosario, Palacio Nacional, Teatro Nacional, and the Metropolitan Cathedral, where the remains of Monsignor Romero rest. After you will visit the Anthropology Museum David J. Guzman with the most archaeological finds displayed and gives a good idea of El Salvador's history. From here you will go to a little hand craft market.

Joya de Ceren- Santa Ana

Today, enjoy a tour of the archeological site of Joya de Ceren, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Joya de Ceren was a pre-Columbian Mayan village, known as the Pompeii of the Americas, after being covered by hot ashes as a result of the eruption of a nearby volcano, similar to the ancient Roman ruins Pompeii. One will also visit the pre-Hispanic ruins of San Andres and its ceremonial center. San Andres had contacts throughout present day Central America, and traded with Peten, Teotihuacan and Copan.
This afternoon, visit Santa Ana touring the city's beautiful theater and the turrets of the neo-gothic cathedral. The second largest city in El Salvador, Santa Ana is the country's major center for the coffee industry. Finally, visit Chalchuapa, for a short tour of the Pre-Columbian Maya archaeological site in Tazumal before returning to the hotel in San Salvador for an evening at leisure.

Ataco- Nahuizalco- Apaneca

Today, enjoy a full day tour beginning with the colorful town of Ataco. Here, one will visit a local coffee factory to learn the production progress from growing and harvesting to the delicious final product. This afternoon is at leisure to explore the beautiful city of Ataco before continuing to Nahuizalco. A small town with strong indigenous roots, Nahuizaclo is known for its wicker and famous for its evening market dating from ancient times. Late this afternoon you will transfer to the hotel in Apaneca.

During 1770 through 1958 Izalco Volcano erupted almost continuously and was popularly known as the “Lighthouse of the Pacific.” Santa Ana Volcano is the highest volcano in El Salvador and is 2,381 meters above sea level.
This afternoon is at leisure to enjoy Coatepeque Lake before returning to the hotel in San Salvador.
