Renowned as “The Blue City”, Jodhpur’s sprawl of block-like buildings are entirely painted blue, creating quite an unusual sight. Offering the best views of the city, the Megangarh Fort dominates the area from its perch on a nearby ridge. Sprawling over 5 kilometers (3 miles), its 36 meter (118 ft) high walls protect some of Rajasthan’s most beautiful and historic palaces. Spend an entire day exploring the interior of the fort, the sites of the city, and its astounding views.
Rising from deep within the Thar Desert, Jaisalmer’s walls encompass an amber-hued city of cobblestone alleys and elegant mansions, complete with delicately designed lattice work and stone carvings. Spend your time here exploring the 80 meter (262 ft) tall, sandcastle-like fort, admiring the magnificent sandstone Havelis (large mansions) and Gadsisar Lake. To top it all off, you will spend your evening here embarking upon the sand dunes on the back of a trusty camel.

The resort is great and everything ran smoothly.
The resort is great and everything ran smoothly. I didn’t like the cater system. As by the time everyone was picked up and checked into the park it was almost 9am; you need to be out in the park by 6am if you want to see any game. I’ve done many African safaris and there is no contest in terms of how things are run differently between India and Africa. Most importantly, everything ran smoothly and I would recommend the Khemvillas Resort.

It was absolutely delightful
I just wanted to thank you for the lovely dinner Kings Lodge set up for us this evening. My brother said it both made the birthday and the vacation special. It was absolutely delightful and, much as every place on this trip so far as been above and beyond our expectations, I don’t think any place so far could have had such a unique, delightful way of doing it.
