Tour Overview
After an introduction to modern Malaysia culture and architecture in Kuala Lumpur, hop a flight to Malaysian Borneo for an extraordinary exploration of the island’s vibrant ecosystem. Whether it’s watching the sunrise from the peak of Mount Kinabalu, scanning the fauna rich banks of the Ulu Ai River or discovering outposts of traditional Malay culture outside of Kuching, this tour is certain to create a lasting impression.
The city of Kuala Lumpur offers an historical perspective of the many architectural influences of its buildings and an exciting glimpse at the future of city planning. When you’re not admiring the structural splendor, you’ll be fully engaged in some of the most exciting markets and delicious food that has been born out of the confluence of Indian, Chinese and traditional Malay cultures.
Before beginning your trek up to the magnificent summit of Mount Kinabalu, you will spend the night in Kota Kinabalu, a cultural hub and the capital city of Sabah. Kota Kanabula has become the major gateway for people seeking to climb Mount Kinabalu. Leisurely explore the city’s many museums, art galleries, and unique restaurants before setting off for the two day trek to the summit of Mount Kinabalu.
After summiting the highest peak on the island, take off for Kuching, the largest city in Malaysian Borneo. Considered one of the cleanest cities in Southeast Asia, Kuching is peaceful, relaxed, and feels much more like a small town. Stroll the picturesque waterfront, explore the open air markets, or visit one of the small, free museums. From Kuching you will travel by car and boat to reach the luxurious Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort. While at the resort you will have ample time to relax, enjoying the natural jungle scenery surrounding the resort. You will also explore the river on a long boat, and visit the Orangutan Center.

Though our time was short, our agent was able to include all our requested stops
A friend & I just completed a 10 day tour of Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand) that was compiled by Yampu Tours. Though our time was short, our agent was able to include all our requested stops while adding some very interesting side tours, all within our budget. Everything and everyone we encountered were great: guides, hotels, flights, train, food, tours, and service.

A fantastic trip – could not have happened without your hard work
As this trip comes to an end Adina and I wanted to take this opportunity to personally thank you for all your hard work. Your planning and organization were superb. Most hotels were above our expectations with the last hotel in Cuzco being the crown jewel. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly.
To conclude it was a fantastic trip and could not have happened without your hard work.

We really enjoyed all the hotels and the tours you recommended!
Thanks for checking in. We had an excellent time in Chile and Argentina. Everything worked out perfectly. It was very comforting to have someone meet us in each city and facilitate our tours, while allowing us plenty of time on our own. All of the transfers and pick-ups were perfectly on time and were with very kind and helpful guides and drivers. Our only problem was in Chicago on our way home when our flight was cancelled, but there was really nothing anyone could do at that point. Otherwise everything was great! We really enjoyed all the hotels and the tours you recommended and look forward to working with you again in the future. Thanks again!
