Discover The Grandeur Of Argentina-Brazil’s Iguazú Falls

Tourists who appreciate the incomparable beauty of water will love the dramatic and majestic Iguazú Falls, situated along the border between Argentina and Brazil. These waterfalls have a width of 2.7 km, and range in height from 197 to 269 feet. They are considered one of the world’s “new seven wonders”, according to the Swiss Foundation. When you plan a holiday around a trip to these stunning waterfalls, you won’t be disappointed, as the views will be incredible. Plus, there will be plenty of other things to see in the area.

On the Brazilian side, you’ll find another gorgeous national park, which is known as Parque Nacional do Iguaçu. Both parks are home to lush plant life, thanks to the moisture emitted by the waterfalls, which makes it easy for plants to grow. The parks are also home to endangered wildlife species.

Spend Time in Puerto Iguazú

This Argentinian border city is located within the Misiones province. Its population is just over 82.000. The city is only 18 km from the Iguazú Falls, so it’s an ideal base for exciting day trips to the falls and to other attractions inside of Iguazú National Park. The city has been developed with the needs of tourists in mind. Fun things to see in Puerto Iguazú include visiting the local bird rehabilitation center, dropping by the Mborore Museum, and visiting the Museum of Images of the Jungle. If you want to see the falls from the Brazilian side, you’ll probably spend time in Foz do Iguaçu, which is also a wonderful town. It’s on the larger side and offers a lot of amenities to tourists, including dinner shows with folk dancing, hot air balloon tours, and a bird park.

A journey to Iguazú Falls will be an unforgettable trip. You’ll see the magic of nature up close and personal. You’ll also love familiarizing yourself with Argentinian and Brazilian culture. Those who are drawn to water will be awestruck by the grandeur of the waterfalls and the beauty of the land surrounding them.
