Enchanting Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkey: A Journey Through History and Beauty

August – September 2023

Stephanie’s adventure began in Central Asia, where she uncovered the rich history and stunning landscapes of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkey. Arriving in Dushanbe, where she met up with her mother, she was immediately embraced by the warm hospitality of a local. This friendly encounter set the tone for her journey ahead, filled with ancient ruins and breathtaking scenery.

She was captivated by Tajikistan’s towering mountains and azure lakes, while Uzbekistan’s timeless cities—Bukhara and Khiva—whispered stories of centuries past. Highlights of her adventure included the Gur Amir Mausoleum, the bustling Siab Bazaar, and the enchanting light show at Samarkand’s Registan Square, weaving a rich tapestry of experiences that marked the perfect start to her year of exploration.

To wrap up this incredible journey, Stephanie spent a weekend in Istanbul, Turkey, her fourth visit to this vibrant city. The Most Amazing Winter Trip Ever! – Estonia, Finland and Norway

December 2023

The chill of winter brought Stephanie to Tallinn, Estonia, on November 30, where a group of friends and family gathered to celebrate the season. The festive spirit enveloped the charming streets of Tallinn as they explored the city and celebrated her friend Clay’s birthday with a delightful dinner at Lore-Bistro.

On December 4, their adventure continued with a ferry ride to Helsinki, Finland, before they set off for Lapland. Here, the mesmerizing Northern Lights illuminated their nights, while thrilling activities like reindeer sleigh rides and husky safaris filled their days with joy. Around warm campfires, they shared stories and laughter, deepening their bonds as they embraced the beauty of winter together. The journey concluded with a day in Oslo where she reunited with an exchange student who had lived with her family for a year in the 1980s, creating memories that would linger long after her return home on December 11, marking a magical chapter in her year of adventure.

Tulum, Mexico: A Quick Escape to Paradise

Stephanie’s vibrant adventure in Tulum began with a smooth flight into Cancun (mere weeks before the start of international flights arriving at the new Tulum airport). There she met up with friends and they made their way to the laid-back coastal town known for its stunning beaches and rich culture. On her first day, she rented a bike, exploring Tulum’s lively streets filled with local eateries. The delicious street tacos and fresh ceviche delighted her taste buds as she pedaled through the colorful landscape.

Her next biking excursion took her to the pristine beaches, where she lounged at beach bars and savored seafood platters, soaking in the sun and the laid-back vibe of the coast. As her whirlwind visit came to an end, Stephanie reflected on the unforgettable experiences that had filled her days. Stephanie & her mother arrived in El Salvador on February 29, diving into the heart of San Salvador. Her private city tour introduced her to the vibrant culture and history of the capital, as she explored bustling markets and historic landmarks. She settled into the cozy accommodations at Kaleo, embracing the warmth of this welcoming city.

The following day, she ventured along the Flower Route, marveling at picturesque villages and colorful markets while tasting local delights. Afterward, she arrived in the surf town of El Tunco, where golden beaches and a lively atmosphere awaited her. Stephanie spent her days lounging by the ocean, enjoying beachside cafes, and soaking in the serene coastal rhythm. As she headed home, she carried with her cherished memories of culture and tranquility.

Peru’s Timeless Wonders: A Culinary & Cultural Journey

Stephanie’s captivating adventure through Peru began in the bustling capital of Lima. After settling in, she and her friend Melodie kicked off their journey with a shared food tour in the artsy Barranco district, sampling local flavors like ceviche and pisco sours. Exploring Kenya’s Wild Beauty: A Luxurious Safari Adventure

April – May 2024

Stephanie’s unforgettable journey through Kenya began with her arrival at JKIA (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport), brimming with excitement.

Her first stop, after exploring the city, took her to the “Instinct of the Mara” lodge, located in a corner of Olderkesi Conservancy, in the secluded southeast of the Maasai Mara, where thrilling game drives and bush breakfasts immersed her in Kenya’s stunning wildlife and landscapes. Not only did she get to enjoy the typical safari activities but had the chance to meet members of the local communities, a rare and rewarding opportunity. Each day brought new adventures. She then headed to the stunning Kipalo Hills property, where the breathtaking vistas of Tsavo East and the sheer number of elephants left her in awe.

After many thrilling days on safari, the trip winded down on the Kenyan coast at the stunning and sexy Cardamom House, overlooking the turquoise Indian Ocean. After mornings of snorkeling or shopping, she savored afternoon tea and reflective sundowners, cherishing the diverse wildlife and rich cultural experiences of the trip. With a heart full of memories and a spirit enriched by her adventures, she prepared for her flight home, eager to share her extraordinary adventure.

An Unforgettable Madagascar Adventure!

August 2024

On August 23, 2024, Stephanie and her friend Louise arrived in Madagascar, landing in the vibrant city of Antananarivo. After a warm welcome and settling into the charming La Varangue Boutique Hôtel, they eagerly began their exploration the next day.

A guided tour through the bustling streets immersed them in local culture, and a traditional cooking class led by renowned chef Toky allowed them to create and savor a delicious Malagasy meal.

Their journey continued with a short flight to Morondava, where they marveled at the iconic Avenue of the Baobabs at sunset. The next morning, they witnessed a breathtaking sunrise among the majestic trees before embracing the seaside charm of Morondava, soaking up the sun on the beach and venturing through mangroves to discover Madagascar’s unique wildlife.

In the Andasibe Rainforest, they participated in a night walk to spot nocturnal creatures and enjoyed close encounters with indri-indri lemurs at the Analamazaotra Special Reserve and Lemur Island. The adventure concluded on the tropical paradise of Nosy Be, where they reflected on the breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture they experienced, cherishing the memories made during this unforgettable Madagascar adventure.
