Argentina’s president not only supported tourism by eliminating the artificial government exchange rate, allowing visitors to the country to get the market rate, he’s eliminated the Reciprocal Visa Fee of $160 per person.
The fee had reduced visitor numbers since its implementation and has been an especially big hurdle for tour companies serving families. A family of four visiting Argentina would have paid $640 on top of some of the expensive flights in the Americas.
Now, the saved money from the visa fee can buy visitors delicious meals, tours, and wine experiences instead!
