Our travel experts had reported that Costa Rica had begun easing travel restrictions for Europe and select parts of the United States back in mid-August. Now, other parts of Central America are working hard to safely reintroduce international travel with different safety protocols being arranged within each country, many of which will be in effect by October of this year. Some requirements include a negative COVID19 test taken 48 to 72 hours prior to arrival.
Panama
Panama International Airport has started controlled operations for international flights.
- Scheduled to open for commercial flights October 12th.
- Currently operating for citizens and residents
- Upon arrival a proof of a negative PCR coronavirus test must be presented. The result must have been received within the 48 hours before their travel to Panama.

Costa Rica
Costa Rica International Airport is currently opened for tourists from: check list.
- Tourists must complete and present an epidemiological survey.
- Tourists must present proof of a negative PCR coronavirus test. The result must have been received within the 48 hours before their travel to Costa Rica.
- Tourists must acquire travel insurance that covers medical care or an unexpected extended hotel stay. Tourists must follow all airport and local health protocols. This includes wearing a mask or face shield in nearly all indoors circumstances
- Travel insurance is required with a minimum coverage of 50,000 USD and expenses of 2,000 USD for lodging and valid through the entire stay in Costa Rica.

Nicaragua
Nicaragua is scheduled to open its airport September 4th.
- Aeromexico service suspended until October 1st, 2020
- United Airlines service suspended until October 5th, 2020
- Avianca Airlines service suspended until September 19th, 2020
- Delta Airlines service suspended indefinitely
- American Airlines service suspended until October 7th, 2020
- Copa Airlines service suspended until October 1st, 2020
- Spirit Airlines service suspended until at least September, 2020
- Tourists must present proof of a negative PCR coronavirus test. The result must have been received within the 72 hours before their travel to Nicaragua.

Honduras
Honduras International Airports are currently opened for commercial flights
- Spirit Airlines has resumed service from Fort Lauderdale and Houston.
- American Airlines scheduled to resume services.
- United Airlines scheduled to resume services.
- Tourists must fill online checking at www.prechequeo.inm.gob.hn
- Tourists must present proof of a negative PCR coronavirus test. The result must have been received within the 72 hours before their travel to Honduras.
- Tourists must follow all airport and local health protocols. This includes wearing a mask or face shield in nearly all indoors circumstances
El Salvador
El Salvador is scheduled to open its International Airport September 19th.

Guatemala
Guatemala is scheduled to open its International Airport September 18th.

- A health center is being installed within the airport facilities for proper handling and attention of tourists.

Belize
Belize has rescheduled new opening date for October 1st.
- All travelers must download the Belize Health App and complete required information
- Bookings can only be made at approved hotels with the Gold Standard Certification
- A PCR test must be taken withing 72 hours of boarding flight with a negative result.
All land borders remain closed until further notice and dates are subject to change.
