Visit Amazing South Africa!
South Africa occupies almost half a million square miles of the southernmost tip of the African continent. Ranging from desert country in the north, to the towering Drakensberg Mountains in the east and the verdant wine country in the south, South Africa’s landscape offers visitors a variety of activities. South Africa is culturally rich, to say the least, with many indigenous tribes (there are 11 official languages) and a heavy European influence stemming from the longtime settlement of the Dutch East India Company in the 1600s and colonization by the British in the 1800s. Explore the seaside city of Cape Town surrounding the iconic Table Mountain, take in the stunning vistas of vineyards and Cape Dutch architecture, get up close and personal with penguins and whales, or go on a safari and search out the Big Five animals (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinoceros). Our most popular South Africa tours all include Cape Town. Choose different combinations of tours featuring wineries, whale watching, the Garden Route or the Drakensberg Mountains. Several tours conclude with a full multi-day safari experience.Be in the know before you go
South Africa:
A valid passport is required to travel and should have at least 6 months’ validity after your return home. You should have at least 2 blank pages per country that you are visiting. If your passport does not meet this requirement at the time of departure, you can be denied boarding for your international flight and may consequently incur additional expenses. You do not need a visa to enter South Africa as a tourist with a US, Canadian or UK passport. However, we always recommend that you double check this for last minute changes with your local consulate.
All travelers under the age of 18 are required to carry an Unabridged Birth Certificate. This is part of a new immigration law. An Unabridged Birth Certificate is one that shows the particulars of both parents. Minors (those aged under 18 years) will need to produce their passport, visa (if applicable) and an Unabridged Birth Certificate, upon arrival and exit at all ports of entry in South Africa.
The government of South Africa requires proof of yellow fever vaccination only if you are arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever. This does not include the US. If you are traveling from a country other than the US, check this list to see if you may be required to get the yellow fever vaccine. For up to date information on recommended and required vaccinations and general health travel tips for South Africa please visit the CDC Website, then use the drop down menu to select the countries you are visiting. What Our Clients Are Saying

"We (husband, wife and two children) have been using Yampu Tours for our family vacations since 2015. Brazil, Chile, Peru, Argentina, South Africa, and Egypt are just a few countries Yampu took us to. As you probably have guessed, we have been extremely satisfied with our experience. The itinerary is always carefully designed and perfectly customized to our family interests / needs. The local guides picked by Yampu are the best. We have encountered more than two dozens of them so far and never had a bad experience. They are all very knowledgeable and reliable and quickly became our friends. Yampu has made travel fun and stress-free. From the moment you arrive at the destination airport to the moment you check in your returning flight, you are 100% taken care of. We have learned to trust Yampu completely, so much so that during the trip, we often woke up in the morning at a foreign hotel, having no idea what will happen during that day, trusting Yampu will take us to amazing place and teach us everything about it. So far, we have not been disappointed."

"Our agent Stephanie was the best!!! We were going to several countries in Africa and she made sure our trip was safe, comfortable and loaded with lots of fun. We had trusted tour companies and interesting guides. We always felt we were in good hands. Once one of our connecting flights was late and she already knew it and took care of the issue and us! We have used Stephanie twice now. Once in South America and once in Africa. Our trips were fun and so memorable. Thanks Stephanie."

"Found Yampu by accident, but as soon as I emailed the firm, I received a quick reply from Stephanie, who from the start began putting our trip to South Africa together. She incorporated each and every event we desired to include. And, when we arrived at the airport in South Africa, we were met and each and every event went off well. I give all included an A+ Great trip; Yampu planned it exceptionally well; would absolutely use Yampu again"
