"My father and I travelled to Svalbard, Norway, this summer. This was our third arctic circle trip in 8 years set up by Monica at Yampu (Iceland, Finland and now Norway), and were each outside the normal Yampu destinations (showing their flexibility). Our itinerary was originally prepared for Greenland but evolved into the Svalbard expedition. Since our interest was in wildlife, Monica made sure that we would be satisfied in our quest for photographing animals--from a remote lodge in Costa Rica, to a remote outpost on the Finnish-Russian border in a bear blind; to a reindeer farm in Alaska; and this time a walrus colony in the Arctic. Yampu mixes luxury and comfort where possible along with a rugged experience that endears you to each location. Every transfer was met, and even small details (like my birthday) were accounted for in surprising way. In a short number of days (9 days total), time was given to visit Oslo and experience the city and culture on the bookends of the trip. Ultimately, after using other travel firms in the past, we will never look back. Yampu is AMAZING!!"

My wife and I have had an excellent 3 weeks Chilean/Antarctica holiday through Yampu Tours. The great experience started in early Feb this year. We originally tried to book the same holiday through another company but was greatly disappointed when it fell through after the company failed to secure the Antarctica XXI bookings. In step Karolina Guilkapi of Yampu Tours, who managed to secure a cabin on Hebridean Sky for us. This saved our trip as the Antarctica experience was a must for us. We had originally wanted to stay at the Hotel Las Torres Patagonia but it was full and Karolina booked us into Ecocamp Patagonia. This turned out to be one of the highlights of our tour. The photos we took of Ecocamp were the envy of our friends who have stayed at Hotel Las Torres Patagonia in earlier trips. A month before we set off, our plans were thrown into disarray due to the closing of airports in Buenos Aires as a result of the G20 meeting. Karolina and her team reconfigure our itinerary and made all the necessary arrangements in order that we could proceed. Throughout the trip, all the pickup and transfers from airports to and from hotels, tours, etc. were faultless and stress free. We encountered a small hiccup early in our trip when my wife was put on the waitlist for a flight (despite full confirmation and payment). Karolina swung into action immediately and everything turned out fine and we did not encounter any issues subsequently. Thank you Karolina and Yampu Tours for the wonderful time my wife and I had on our vacation.

Yampu is two for two! My wife and I recently returned from a fantastic two-week trip to Argentina and Brazil organized by Yampu's General Sales Manager Karolina Guilcapi. I typically set up our trips, but needed advice and help in these two countries. Karolina listened to our interests and put together an itinerary that addressed our every need and offered wonderful experiences, many of which I wouldn't have known about if doing this on my own. The guides were excellent; food (when provided) outstanding; and accommodations exceptional for our selected price range. She must have used some influence to obtain a spectacular upper-level corner room with small balcony for us at the Leme Arena in Rio affording sweeping views down beautiful Copacabana Beach. The trip was executed like clockwork. A five-star performance by Yampu once again as Karolina organized an equally wonderful trip to Peru last year. My wife and I highly recommend Yampu for anyone seeking private (our preference) or group tours in areas where the overall vacation experience can depend on insider knowledge and experience with the venues.

"We had an outstanding trip in Peru! Our driver Mario was safe and efficient, and he was always there for us! Our tour guide Dante was articulate, he was very informative, and he also was always there for us. We felt welcome, supported, guided to many different places with everything taken care of for us, and every question answered. Someone was always there to escort us, and make us feel special. The tour to Machu Picchu was excellent, as was our trip through the Sacred Valley! Our tour agent Maggie thought of every detail and we will forever keep her in our thoughts!"
