"We have used Yampu for a total of 4 international trips to date. We just returned from Costa Rica (July 2021) and it was an incredible adventure-filled vacation. From zip-lining across the canopies to RainForest tours, to rappelling off waterfalls, and even ATV excursions down rural paths, this was our most thrilling family vacation. Yampu, as always, provided reliable and wonderful service. They were with us every step of the way. That is why they are the only company we will use for our international travel! As they say in Costa Rica, “Pura Vida“!"

Magnificent trip. The services provided by Yampu in Peru were superb: knowledgeable and friendly guides; perfect organization of transportation (car/bus/train/boat/plane), faultless punctuality, and a selection of unforgettable hotels.

Traveling to the Andean plateau of Peru - specifically Machu Picchu, Cusco, and Lake Titicaca - has been high on my bucket list. I didn't want to go with the herd; I didn't want to go alone. Yampu customized the perfect 10-day tour for two friends and me: we experienced Peru, we didn't just see it. The Yampu tour to Peru included visits to indigenous communities, the opportunity to understand local history and customs one-on-one. Each one of our guides was knowledgeable, very flexible and responsive to our questions and requests. As they spoke Quechuan as their "first language" we felt even closer to the local communities, not just tourists passing through. Peru was my second trip with Yampu but far from my last. As a "baby-boomer" traveler, Yampu makes travel a pleasure with an end-to-end customized luxury. Yampu was nimble in response to the unexpected. When my friend forgot some clothes in a hotel room drawer, Yampu representatives arranged for the package delivered to the next destination. The schedule - at times a bit complicated - was executed with perfection. It was always so great to see a smiling Yampu representative greet us at each point in the itinerary, from airport pick-up to delivery at trip's end. I loved winding up in Lima - it confirmed the paradox of Peru - at once very modern and "hip" together with an ancient culture and deep connection to the natural world. One last thing; the "hard-copy" itinerary from Yampu, including trip tips from restaurant recommendations to tipping guidelines, was invaluable. Mine is dog-eared from use on the trip and now a great reference. I also appreciated Yampu's reading list on Peru. I might add my own find, The Peru Reader, a compilation of essays on Peru's history, culture, and politics.

We took a trip to Thailand (Phuket, Chiang Mai and Bangkok) with our 10 and 4 year olds. Each day, they said "It was the best day ever!" Stephanie helped us plan our trip and worked through all the details for us. Throughout the planning process, Stephanie was responsive, accommodating and just wonderful to work with. Our guides at each of the destinations were equally wonderful...they were knowledgeable, communicative and they certainly enhanced our experience. Besides showing up, we didn't have to worry about anything at all because we knew we were in good hands.

"Costa Rica was my second trip with Yampu Tours; a graduation gift for my daughter (and me!). Five years ago I used Yampu for a spectacular trip with MY mom to Peru, Machu Picchu, and Iguazu Falls. The pre-travel communication and assistance (for both trips ) was terrific and put me at ease. Once at our destinations (for both trips) the accommodations, organization of our drivers and tours was amazing. Even when there were small glitches, all was handled professionally and without hesitation by the staff in the locations we were visiting. I have already recommended this outstanding company and its staff to other travelers and will continue to do so, without hesitation. Thank you, Yampu Tours! I have many wonderful memories with my mom and now my daughter because of you. I WILL be back. :)"

"Our family of four just returned from a two-week excursion in Peru. We traveled to Lima, the Peruvian Rainforest, Cusco, Urubamba, Machu Picchu and Puno/Lake Titicaca. We stayed in five different amazing hotels during our stay. Our tour operator, Yampu Tours did an exceptional job organizing the trip. We had an incredibly knowledgeable guide with us every step of way meeting us at our hotel managing our domestic air, bus and train transportation in Peru. Every guide was extremely knowledgeable about the sites/attractions. At no point did we ever get lost, feel rushed or left to our own devices (we do not speak Spanish... but we tried). This was easily one of the most carefree/safe trips with lots of adventures along the way. Lima is a city full of culinary delights, the biodiversity of the rainforest was incredible and visiting Cusco, the ancient Inca ruins, indigenous cultures of Puno, and Peruvian people in general was a life rewarding experience. I would wholeheartedly and emphatically recommend Yampu Tours (without reservation) for individuals and families alike for any travel considerations to Peru."

"We spent around 4 weeks in South America on a private tour organized by Yampu. All my communication was done through Karolina. My main concern was safety as we were traveling with both our children at that time were under 12. We went from Peru to Chile, Argentina and Bolivia. We chose to have private tours with our own driver and guide, although at some of the places we had to join group tours which also worked out fine. There was a Yampu guide who met us on arrival at every airport, and also helped us check in for every flight we took. On the ground, all the transportation provided were very comfortable and all the drivers took care to drive safely and to make sure that we were always comfortable, especially during long road trips. At every destination we were greeted with wonderful guides, all very knowledgeable and warm, who engaged very well with our children. Both our kids still talk about our guides and about how much fun they had with them. Patagonia was amazing! It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We traveled through El Calafate, Punta Arenas and Torres del Paine, and we loved every minute of our time there. All the accommodation that Karolina arranged for us were extremely comfortable, all in very convenient locations. We were able to find good restaurants all within walking distance (especially in El Calafate. We ate some of the most delicious roast lamb every night we were there!). The tours we did here were fantastic. As you can imagine, the weather plays a big part in daily activities in these places. There was one day when we were booked to go on a drive up the mountains but the rain came down very heavily. Despite having to change the driving route for safety reasons, and also dealing with some disappointed people because we could hardly see out of the windows, our guide took it in her stride, and still managed to make the journey fun and enjoyable for us. If you’re going to Patagonia Camp, you will not be disappointed! We walked into the camp and what an incredible surprise it was. To be honest, I’d done very little research on this part of our trip (we were on a 7-month holiday so I was also busy planning the other parts at the same time) so we really didn’t have any expectations. Till today, my kids still remind me of what I told them on the bus on the way there. I said to them “it’s a camp so don’t expect anything too fancy ok”. You should have seen their faces when we walked into the camp! The yurts were incredible, food excellent, service was top notch. Aside from the accommodation, all the excursions we did were amazing. How could it not be when we were surrounded by the most stunning scenery. Every guide we had on our hikes was incredibly knowledgeable of the environment. We did some hikes which were pretty challenging for our little 8-year old and the guides who were with us made sure she was was ok every step of the way, whether it was holding her hand to help her up the steep terrain or even make her the “leader” of the pack as a challenge (and she made it to the top at such a fast pace that the rest of us had a hard time keeping up!). We have such amazing memories of our time in South America. We were very happy with the package that Karolina put together for us and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Yampu. I was in contact with Karolina throughout our trip, and she was very quick to respond to all my queries and gave good suggestions and advice. We decided to add on Bolivia at the very last minute (we were already part way through our South America trip), and Karolina still managed to booked flights, accommodation, tours for us for the dates we needed."
