Days 1–3: Arrival in Santiago and Exploration in Pirque 

Jose and Monica’s journey began in Santiago, Chile, with a warm welcome. They were whisked away to the stunning Las Majadas de Pirque, a historic estate nestled in the heart of Pirque’s wine country. Their stay at the Superior Park Room included full board, featuring delectable local cuisine, an open bar with regional reserve wines, and curated experiences. They immersed themselves in the tranquil beauty of the estate, enjoying a blend of relaxation and adventure through guided excursions and workshops tailored to highlight the region’s natural and cultural charm.  

On October 3, the couple bid farewell to Las Majadas and headed to Santiago Airport for their flight to Easter Island. Known as Rapa Nui, this remote and mystical destination is famed for its moai statues, offering a dramatic contrast to the lush landscapes of the Chilean mainland. Their journey marked the start of a new chapter, diving deeper into the rich heritage and breathtaking vistas of Chile. 

Days 4–6: Exploring Easter Island 

Arriving on Easter Island, Jose and Monica embraced the mystique of Rapa Nui, staying at the luxurious Nayara Hangaroa, designed to blend harmoniously with the island’s natural beauty. Over two days, they explored the iconic moai statues, mysterious archaeological sites, and stunning coastal landscapes. Guided tours revealed the island’s rich history, highlighting the stories and traditions of the Rapa Nui people. Evenings at Nayara Hangaroa were equally captivating, featuring fine dining inspired by local flavors and serene views of the Pacific. 

On October 6, the couple flew back to Santiago and checked into the Holiday Inn Santiago Airport, conveniently located opposite the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport. Their stay in an executive room offered modern comforts, including access to a heated indoor pool, sauna, and gym. They enjoyed a relaxing evening with a meal at the hotel’s renowned restaurant, preparing for the next leg of their adventure. 

Days 7–9: Wine Tours and Urban Elegance 

On Day 7, Jose and Monica left Santiago for a scenic drive to Vik Vineyard, one of the premier wine estates in Chile. Set amidst the rolling hills of the Millahue Valley, they were welcomed by the stunning architecture and vineyard views. Their stay at Vik Vineyard was a blend of luxury and tranquility, with wine-tasting experiences showcasing the region’s best vintages.

The following day, Monica and Jose visited Montes Vineyard, Clos Apalta, Viña La Playa Hotel & Winery, and Lapostolle for site inspections. These visits allowed them to explore the vineyards, tour the winemaking facilities, and better understand the unique features of each property. At Montes Vineyard and Clos Apalta, they learned about the sustainable practices and innovative production techniques that contribute to their world-class wines. Viña La Playa offered a distinctive combination of boutique accommodations and vineyard immersion, while Lapostolle impressed with its iconic wines and attention to detail, enhancing their knowledge of exceptional wine tourism options.

On Day 9, they traveled to Noi Vitacura, an elegant hotel located in Santiago’s upscale Vitacura district, where they enjoyed a deluxe room with a buffet breakfast. The day began with a premium tour of Viña Santa Rita, a vineyard with deep historical roots, followed by a delightful lunch at Restaurante Doña Paula. In the afternoon, they were able to unwind at Noi Vitacura, which offers top-tier amenities, including two pools, a renowned terrace bar with spectacular views, and a spa for ultimate relaxation after their action-packed days exploring Chile’s vineyards. 

Days 10–12: Wine, Art, and Culture in Casablanca and Valparaíso 

On Day 10, Jose and Monica traveled to Casa Higueras, a stylish boutique hotel in Valparaíso, offering panoramic views of the Bay. Their day included a full exploration of Casablanca Valley, starting with a visit to Bodegas Re, where they participated in a Re-Encuentro Wine Tour featuring tastings of three wines paired with local breads, cheeses, and olives. Afterward, they savored a premium wine-paired lunch at Viña Kingston, enjoying a four-course meal complemented by local wines. The evening was spent in the comfort of Casa Higueras, where they could unwind in the hotel’s pool, gardens, and elegant restaurant. 

On Day 11, Monica and Jose embarked on a half-day walking tour of Valparaíso, immersing themselves in the city’s vibrant street art scene, history, and colorful neighborhoods. The tour, which included public transportation, explored the iconic Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción districts, known for their art galleries and artisan workshops. As they learned about Valparaíso’s transformation into the South American capital of street art, they visited UNESCO World Heritage sites, admired murals, and enjoyed stunning viewpoints overlooking the bay. A highlight of the day was participating in a graffiti painting session, where they created their own artwork, adding a personal touch to the city’s artistic landscape. They also had the option to visit museums, including La Sebastiana, the home of poet Pablo Neruda. On Day 12, they were transferred back to Santiago Airport for their onward journey. 

Days 13–19: Exploring the Lakes Region and Attending the Travel Convention 

From October 13 to 15, Monica and Jose stayed at Vira Vira, a luxurious hotel nestled in the heart of Chile’s stunning Lakes Region. Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, the hotel offered a peaceful retreat with activities such as hiking, kayaking, and exploration of the nearby Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve. Their stay allowed them to fully immerse in the region’s lush landscapes, guided by local experts who shared their knowledge of the area’s unique flora and fauna. In addition to the outdoor adventures, their visit coincided with the Remote Latin America Travel Convention, where they had the opportunity to learn about the latest tourism trends and innovative products emerging in Latin America. This was an enriching experience, giving them valuable insights into new travel offerings that they could incorporate into their future itineraries. 

On October 15, they traveled to Termas de Puyehue for a travel convention, where they attended industry events until October 18. While at this renowned resort, known for its natural hot springs and serene ambiance, they had the opportunity to network and learn about the latest trends in the travel industry. After the convention, they made their way to Hotel Awa in Puerto Montt on October 18. For two nights, they stayed in a Superior Room with an all-inclusive package, enjoying meals, drinks, and activities. The hotel offered a variety of excursions, including a full-day or half-day tour, and the option to explore the area with electric bicycles, depending on availability. With all-inclusive meals and drinks (excluding premium wines and liquors), it was a relaxing and indulgent stay in a stunning location. 

Days 20–23: The Mystique of Patagonia and Chiloé 

On October 20, Monica and Jose transferred from Hotel Awa to Tierra Chiloe, a beautiful property located in the picturesque island of Chiloé. The journey was made comfortable with a private driver and English-speaking guide. Tierra Chiloe provided them with an immersive experience, offering stunning views of the island’s dramatic coastline, lush landscapes, and opportunities to explore Chiloé’s rich cultural heritage, from its traditional wooden churches to its vibrant fishing villages. Their stay included a variety of outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, and cycling, as well as unique spa treatments to unwind and relax in nature. 

On October 23, after spending a few days at Tierra Chiloe, Monica and Jose were transferred from Castro (where Tierra Chiloe is located) to Puerto Montt Airport with a private guide, ensuring timely arrival for their flight. Later that day, they flew to Puerto Natales, where they checked into the Noi Indigo Patagonia hotel for one night. Set in the breathtaking Patagonian region, this 5-star hotel offered a perfect blend of modern design and natural beauty. Surrounded by stunning mountain views and close to the sea, the hotel’s Nordic-inspired architecture complemented the landscape perfectly. Their room was a Junior Suite with panoramic views, and they enjoyed the hotel’s amenities, including a spa, a restaurant serving Patagonian cuisine, and other facilities like a swimming pool and bar. 

Days 24–27: Torres del Paine and Santiago 

On October 24, Monica and Jose arrived at Estancia Cerro Guido for a 3-night stay. This luxurious all-inclusive experience allowed them to immerse themselves in the stunning beauty of Torres del Paine National Park, one of the most iconic destinations in Patagonia. From their classic room, they enjoyed spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes, with towering granite peaks and vast open plains. Activities included exploring the park’s pristine wilderness, hiking through dramatic valleys, and guided wildlife tours to spot local fauna like guanacos, foxes, and condors. 

On October 27, Monica and Jose transferred from their hotel in Puerto Natales to Puerto Natales Airport for their flight back to Santiago. This marked the last day of their unforgettable journey through Chile, filled with rich experiences and breathtaking landscapes that they would carry with them long after their return.
