United Airlines recently announced that they are launching a nonstop flight between Washington, D.C. and Cape Town, South Africa. The new route, which will take around 14 hours and 30 minutes, is a true travel gem.  

There have previously been seasonal winter flights between Newark Airport in New York and the South African metropolis (summer in South Africa). However, this new route will allow means of nonstop travel to South Africa year-round. It is sure to become an exceedingly popular flight as travel restrictions have recently been lifted in South Africa.
