Bicycle Around the City
The city of Lima has so much to offer, from beautiful coastal views, surfing, museums on ancient Peruvian culture, tasting tours, street art and more. In addition to walking tours of the city, many travelers enjoy exploring by bicycle, which allows them to see more in one day!

Cusco
Ruins, History and Spirituality
A gateway to Machu Picchu and the home of ruins and re-enactments, Cusco is a beautiful place to encounter the ancient and mystical Inca culture. The city itself features charming cobblestone streets and alleys alive with weavers crafting vibrant textiles, museums and much more. Take a luxurious train ride throughout the striking Peruvian landscape to Machu Picchu. The ambitious can take any number of treks, varying in difficulty, while people of any ability can take a bus to the top. Revel in the marvelous, straight-cut stones while learning about the rites and rituals that took place there in ancient times.
Today, Cusco is where a most epic re-enactment of the ancient Inti Raymi ceremony is held each June 24. It is a great opportunity to see colorful and symbolic costumes, dances, and rituals while enjoying Peruvian music throughout the streets. If you don’t like crowds, craft markets are a great way to see the ornate and traditional craftsmanship that artisans still teach and display in the city. Some nearby ruins can also be traversed to on horseback.

Arequipa & Colca Canyon
Home to Peru’s massive and majestic Condors, Colca Canyon is a grandiose and visually striking spot credited with being the world’s second largest canyon. Arequipa is surrounded by beautiful volcanoes and includes highlights such as the Catalina Convent, the Plaza de Armas or Main Square, the Cathedral, the Church of La Compania and the Colonial district of Yanahuara.

Puno
The word “Yampu” is the Quechua name for the reed boats found in Puno and on Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake. As the home to our namesake, Puno holds a special place in our hearts. Beyond that, Lake Titicaca is a stunning place to add on to any Peru itinerary. Learn about the floating islands, constructed out of reeds as well as the history of the people who reside there. Nearby, in Sillustani, are ancient Inca burial grounds. Visit the tombs and impressive ruins there. It is an incredible place to learn about Inca history and the way that the memorialized important leaders in the community.
Paracas & Nazca Lines
Enjoy Paracas and take a flight to see one of Peru’s most impressive sites, soaring over the enormous ancient calendar of the Incas drawn in the desert sand known as the Nazca Lines. Admire the sheer size and splendor of the Nazca Lines. Then, cruise to the Ballestas Isles where you will be amazed by playful sea lions, penguins, and several species of birds.

The Peruvian Amazon
Fondly known by many as “the lungs of the earth,” the Amazon rainforest is home to an astounding variety of flora and fauna, one of the most biodiverse places on earth.
