Experience authentic Argentina culture, including Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls. This Argentina Highlight Tour visits Salta, the charming colonial city with many historic and artistic treasures. Salta holds a picturesque old-fashioned atmosphere that is sure to relax. In contrast, the deep-flowing and plunging waters of the Iguazu Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world, will invigorate your body and soul with its sheer natural power. This tour also includes Buenos Aires, where you will visit a typical estancia and attend a lively tango show.
The Iguazu Falls and National Park are the largest in the Americas, surrounded by an amazing wildlife preserve in the middle of the jungle. The deep flowing waters of the river fall from a height of thirty feet through almost three hundred falls over two miles.
Visit the historic and artistic Spanish colonial cities of Salta and Jujuy. Meander in Indian towns such as Cachi, Purmamarca, Uquia, and Humahuaca, and see the fortress ruins in Tilcara. Take in the breathtaking beauty of this region when visiting the colorful Quebrada de Humahuaca and the Humahuaca Gorge. You may also choose to go wine- tasting or take the fantastic Safari to the Clouds.

Note: There are several venues in the city, each offering something unique. Yampu includes the El Querandi or Esquina Carlos Gardel in the 3 and 4 star option with shared transfers, and the Rojo Tango or Gala Tango for the 5 star and deluxe options with private transfers. Morning guided tour to the Argentinean side of the waterfalls. Pick-up at the hotel and transfer to visitor center inside Iguazu National Park. To get from the visitor center to the beginning of upper path, lower path and Devil's Throat, board a little train that runs from the visitor center to the paths and between each one of them. One may also walk from the visitor center to upper and lower paths, but one cannot walk to Devil's Throat because it is located more than 4 kilometers from the visitor center.
Great Adventure: This tour combines a jungle trip with a boat trip to the falls. Trip starts in the jungle of the National Park in 4 by 4 trucks without roof for best visibility of the trees and to take good photos. Then, take a zodiac boat to the lower Iguazu River upstream to discover the falls little by little with a panoramic view of the Iguazu Falls. Be prepared to get wet under the falls! Afternoon return to the hotel.

The journey starts from Salta city to the south, through route 68 traversing the Lerma Valley and its historical towns. Reach Quebrada de las Conchas (the Shell's Gorge), where wind and water erosion carved curious shapes on the rocks (The Amphitheater, Devil's throat, The Toad, The Castles, among others). Arrive in Cafayate, and visit some wineries, famous for their production of Torrontes, with special characteristics due to the particularities of the climate and land. The journey leaves from Salta, first visiting Purmamarca Village where there will be enough time to observe the Seven Colored Hill, the Church and the Craft Market on the square, and a small walk along its narrow streets. Continue towards the town of Tilcara to visit the Pucara, the Archaeological Museum, and Huacalera, and then cross the Capricorn Tropic, from where the colors of La Pollera del Coya Hill can be seen and amazing good pictures can be taken because of the daylight. Visit Uquia and its church, where the paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels are kept. Arrival to Humahuaca will be at noon; this town has an important Church and the Independence Monument (the Indian) of the sculptor Soto Avendano. After lunch, observe from the route, La Paleta del Pintor (Paintor's Palette) framing the town of Maimara. Continue to San Salvador de Jujuy where the Flag Hall and the Cathedral, characterized by its pulpit carved in wood and gold and the statues of Lola Mora are visited. Finally, return to Salta through National Route 9 of abundant subtropical vegetation.
