The Historical Maze of Dalmatia: Trogir and Split
Feeling read more...
Feeling lucky to start your day in Trogir, a charming little town with medieval walls, magical architecture and a wonderful sea view, you are ready for today’s adventure.
Being in this town will seem like you travelled back in time through centuries, all the way to the Trogir’s Golden era, today, still visible in the magnificent Cipiko Palace, the Venetian Cathedral of St. Lawrence, the Gothic town hall and mighty walls along the waterfront. Walking through the city center (UNESCO World Heritage Site) with cobbled streets and passages, among different architectural styles, listening to the stories about medieval time and feeling the atmosphere of the glorious times past, you will find yourself immersed in the incredible history of Trogir.
A natural unfolding to this fulfilled day is a visit to the city of Split, the successor of Solin, the capital of Roman province Dalmatia. Split was actually the periphery of Solin whose very important citizen – the emperor Diocletian, chose Split’s downtown as a place for his palace. That is how the Flavors splendor of Split began and how the heart of the city was shaped. Walking down the Split's streets is similar to wandering through a historical labyrinth. You will enter the bronze gate in the south, pass by the cathedral of St. Domnius, one of the best-preserved buildings of Roman times, and reach the golden gate in the north to touch the left toe of the statue of Gregory of Nin. According to the legend, all visitors who touch the toe of the statue will ensure their return to Split someday. Our tour ends on the seafront, complete with palms and yachts, colorful shops in Roman passages, and charming bars with creative interiors.

Skywalk Biokovo
Meet read more...
Meet yet another jewel of Croatian nature, the Biokovo Mountain, whose rampart peaks rise 1,500 meters above the Makarska Riviera, offering exceptional views of the sea and nearby islands.
It is one of Croatia's most popular hiking destinations, with numerous paths winding up the hills past olive groves, vineyards, and pine forests. Some say it owes its name to the whiteness of the snow-covered peaks (bio is a Croatian word for white), while others claim the word biokovo was once synonymous with tempest, a specific type of wind locally called bura.
The nature reserve is known among nature lovers for its numerous endemic animal and plant species. Recently, its fame has spread thanks to the Skywalk — a 25-meter-long promenade made of glass that offers a spectacular view of the Makarska Riviera. Local legend has it that when the sky is clear and bright, you can even see Italy across the Adriatic!
Spend your free time enjoying the remarkable view of Split’s historic center from Marjan Hill and soaking in the energy of the locals — perhaps the best way to say goodbye before embarking on island hopping!

Brač – Flavors and Sceneries of the authentic Croatian island
For read more...
For the next three days, you'll be discovering the incredible Adriatic coast and the Dalmatian archipelago.
Your first stop is the island of Brač, which boasts the highest peaks among the Croatian islands. With fewer tourists and without the big crowds and pomp of its glittering neighboring islands, Brač offers an excellent opportunity to experience the authentic life of locals, particularly in the inland areas.
Your sightseeing begins at the Museum of Olive Oil, as olive cultivation on Brač dates back to Venetian times, with over half a million trees planted. Warmly welcomed by your hosts, you’ll gain fascinating insights into the production process. Enhance your visit by sampling various local delicacies.
Later, head up to Vidova Gora, the highest point of the Croatian islands. From there, you will descend along rocky trails to the town of Bol. This charming place, adorned with lovely old houses, offers great restaurants where you can enjoy lunch or a snack by the promenade. Afterward, take a walk and enjoy a well-deserved break at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world — the Golden Horn (Zlatni Rat).

Brač – Hvar Island: The ghost-like villages with lavender scent - Medieval Hvar town
Today, read more...
Today, the queen of the Croatian islands, Hvar, awaits you.
But Hvar is so much more than just the glitz and glamour of its main town. The island’s significance dates back to ancient times, with its important strategic and nautical position bringing both wealth and turbulence throughout history. Its separation from the mainland has protected the island from some modern influences, preserving the harmony between man and nature. This harmony is evident in the white-washed towns and historic cobbled streets, in the lavender fields and azure waters, as well as in the home-style restaurants serving delicious Dalmatian fare.
With this in mind, you'll visit a household that cultivates lavender and hike through the abandoned, ghost-like village of Malo Grablje. Along the Hvar hiking route, you’ll arrive at Milna just in time for a refreshment at one of its seafood restaurants. As you continue hiking along the coast, you'll be rewarded with marvelous views. Eventually, you'll arrive at the capital of the island—the city of Hvar. Visitors often describe their time in Hvar as being part of a fairy tale, with 13th-century walls enclosing beautifully ornamented Gothic palaces and traffic-free marble streets.
This small bay town showcases its full glory through the stories of significant historical events and people, linked to the cathedral, monastery, and fortress. Some say this incredible island simply has it all: rich history, vibrant nightlife, high-class service, wonderful nature, and stunning viewpoints. Finally, you’ll have some free time to enjoy the crystal-clear waters.

Wine Duet: Korčula Island & Pelješac Peninsula – Walls of Ston
The read more...
The third island on our itinerary is sure to astonish you as well.
Korčula, the most tranquil island of our adventure, was named by the Greeks due to its dense pine forests—Korkyra Melaina (Black Corfu). Korčula Town is also known as "Little Dubrovnik" for its mighty city walls, medieval squares, churches, palaces, and houses. Locals say the town still holds secrets about the life of one of history's most famous explorers, Marco Polo. Tip of the day: there’s a nice bar in the Zakerjan Tower at the far end of the old town where you can enjoy spectacular views of the strait.
The Mediterranean climate, fertile soil, and unique terrain of Korčula provide ideal conditions for wine growing. In the village of Lumbarda, the heart of Korčula’s wine production, you’ll have the opportunity to taste a variety of wines, including the most authentic local varieties, pošip and grk. The perfect conclusion to your visit is sampling some of Croatia’s most renowned wines, paired with local snacks, at a family winery.
After this wonderful experience, board the ferry and head to your next destination, leaving behind the old, charming houses perched on the island’s edge. Upon returning to mainland Croatia, enjoy the scenic drive through the Pelješac Peninsula. This largest Croatian peninsula, covered with macchia (dense Mediterranean shrubland), is widely known for two trademarks: wine and oysters. The region of Dingač, symbolized by the donkey, is Croatia’s first protected wine region.
On your way to Dubrovnik, there will be a brief photo stop at the impressive old city walls above the town of Ston, offering a perfect view of the Adriatic coastline.
