Upon arrival to Dubrovnik, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Dubrovnik, known as the "Pearl of Adriatic", is one of the most recognizable destinations in Europe with its gorgeous coastline, historic architecture and collection of cultural festivities year-round.

This morning, be met at your hotel for a transfer to your Croatian cooking class. With help from your hosts, pick ingredients right from the garden to use in your dish. Utilize all your senses and enjoy the lovely scents of wild spices, the feeling of fresh dough as it is kneaded to make bread and taste the accompanying olive oil all while learning from your hosts. In the afternoon, return to Dubrovnik.

This afternoon, you will have your private walking tour of Dubrovnik's city center. Irish author George Bernard Shaw wrote, "Those who seek paradise on Earth must come to Dubrovnik". The Old Town protected by city walls is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A walk along the ramparts reveals a different view of the Elafiti Islands and Old Town. On your tour with your local guide you will see Onofrio fountain, the city bell tower and numerous medieval buildings. In the morning after breakfast and checking out of your hotel, you will continue to Split. On route, you will stop in one of the best wineries in Croatia located on the hills rising from the Adriatic Sea. After the tour of the cellar and the winery you will enjoy a unique gastronomic experience, combining fine food with excellent wines all produced in this very vineyard.

In the late afternoon, you will arrive to Split. After checking into your hotel, have a free evening to familiarize yourself with this amazing city.

Your day will start with a private walking tour of Split's city center with your guide.

The city of Split has evolved over the centuries, offering a perfect mix of history and modern influences, amazing ancient Roman architecture infused with modern bars, restaurants, and vibrant life. Before visiting Split's open green market, visit Diocletian's Palace. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was originally built as a residential summer palace for the Roman emperor.

In the afternoon, we will visit the town of Trogir, a short 30-minute drive north of Split. This small and quaint medieval town connected by a bridge to the mainland was founded in the 3rd century BC by the Greeks. Later rulers were Rome, Byzantium, Venice, and Austria but the deepest cultural expansion has been left by the Croats. Trogir is still very well preserved and is on the UNESCO'S World Heritage list. The city of Salona was built in the 4th Century BC and is situated 9 km from Split on the mouth of the River Jadro and was the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia and the birthplace of Roman Emperor Diocletian (244-311 AD). We will take you on a guided walk through these ancient remains where you will hear about the history of these turbulent times.

Alternatively we can coordinate a guided visit to the nearby fortress of Klis (used as a filming location for Game of Thrones) as well as the Museum of Alka (ancient equestrian chivalry competition) with lunch in a more rural, traditional setting.

Klis fortress (10th century A.D.) is one of the most dramatic looking fortresses in Croatia built on a cliff overlooking Split. With its extraordinary historical significance, it is also famous for its use as a location during Game of Thrones filming in Split area.

After your tour of the fortress and small museum we will continue to a small town called Sinj, 20 miles from Split. There we will visit the museum of Alka's, an equestrian competition held on the first Sunday in August since 1715. After breakfast, enjoy a catamaran ride to Hvar (approx. 1.5 hours drive).

This world famous island has history dating back to Ancient Greek times and is known as the sunniest island of Croatia with its amazing food and wine heritage. Upon arrival, enjoy a private guided tour of Hvar town followed by a scenic drive across the island to Hora. "The Stari Grad Plain", also known as Hora or Ager, is the oldest, continuously farmed agricultural site on the Mediterranean islands. It is such an impressively preserved testament to the Ancient Greek period that it was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2008. While here, we will visit a local farmhouse for a wine tasting and lunch. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxing walk throughout the estate and taste their local olive oil, smell the lavender that they grow and of course taste their wine paired with traditional dishes.

Today will be at your leisure to enjoy and explore Split and its museums. You will also have an option to experience a full day cooking class with an expert chef. This will be organized in a restaurant located in the center of Hvar town to learn about typical Mediterranean cuisine with the expert chef and owner of the restaurant.

In the morning, you will continue to Plitvice Lakes (approx. 3 hours drive). Breathtakingly beautiful, Plitvice Lakes is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the oldest national park in Croatia. The waters flowing over the limestone and chalk have, over thousands of years, deposited travertine barriers, creating natural dams which in turn have created a series of beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls. Walk on wooden bridges and drive on electric boats to experience firsthand nature's wonder.

Halfway to the National Park, with just a short detour, stop at a family owned winery for wine tasting with light lunch. With 130 indigenous wine sorts, Croatia is a treasure trove for wine lovers. After breakfast, enjoy a private guided tour of the National Park Plitvice Lakes. In the afternoon, after the tour of the National Park, explore the region further by horseback for 2-3 hours by meeting with your guides at a nearby ranch.

After breakfast, transfer to Croatia's capital-Zagreb (approx. 1.5 hours drive). The afternoon and evening will be free for shopping and exploring Zagreb. In the afternoon, you will have an option for a guided tour of the city which can be organized followed by a farewell dinner.

At the appropriate time, you will be met at your hotel and transferred to the Zagreb airport for your flight home.
