Day flight to Maun. Upon arrival, airport reception and transfer to Camp Okavango via light aircraft. Stay in one of the camp’s beautifully designed and furnished African-style safari tent structures. The 16,000 square kilometers of wetlands that is the Okavango Delta is the final destination of Africa’s third longest river. It is here that herds of elephants, hippos, or buffalos can be stalked along the shoreline while drifting silently through the reeds upon a guided mokoro (indigenous canoe). Motorboat cruises, nature walks, and game drives are also available, where, each morning, Africa’s most famed animals will be tracked during their hunt for prey. Again, today there will be a chance to engage in any of the camp’s activities. This is a great opportunity to explore new parts of the Delta or to track animals that have yet to be seen. Return to camp for a night of relaxing and enjoying dinner and the surroundings in the heart of the Botswanan bush.

Transfer to Camp Moremi via light aircraft. Here, stay in the comfort of the Camp’s authentic looking, yet elegantly furnished East African inspired tent like structures, deep within the heart of the reserve. As the only part of the Okavango Delta that has been set aside for the preservation of wildlife, The Moremi Game Reserve is most well-known for its frequent sightings of lion, leopard, and cheetah, but most notably for its abundance of wild dogs, whose population is quickly dwindling in most other regions of Africa. Awake early to partake in a morning game drive through the Reserve or explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and the surrounding channels of the Okavango Delta by motorboat, which provides fantastic birding experiences. Return to camp for lunch and some afternoon relaxing by the pool before embarking on an afternoon game drive.

Transfer by light aircraft to the Chobe Game Lodge. Built upon the banks of the Chobe River, splendid views are guaranteed, as each air conditioned room is facing the water and the surrounding floodplains with its own private terrace. Most famed for the largest population of elephants in all of Africa, Chobe National Park is also famous for its large buffalo herds, a great variety of antelope, hippos and abundant birdlife. Again, today there will be a chance to take game drives through the park, or engage in a scenic sunset cruise. Also, nature walks with interpretive guides are lead to the Lesoma Valley and the Kasuma Pan; however this is only available between April and October due to weather constraints.

Ground transfer to a hotel in Livingstone. Take the day at leisure to explore the beautiful surroundings. Overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, set off on a tour of the remarkable Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls, now approximately 150 million years old, reaches its peak volume around May each year. The sights, sounds, and smells of this massive fall will truly inspire; it creates such a humbling feeling, seeing a true masterpiece of nature. Tours to the falls are conducted in the morning and afternoon. En route, go past the ‘Big Tree’ to stop and take photos. Journey through the rainforest by a qualified guide who will give a brief history of the Falls themselves as well as detailing the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife and other points of interest. After breakfast transfer to the airport for a flight to Durban. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel in the Drakensberg.

After breakfast embark on a day trip around the Midlands Meander. This is a tour of the picturesque villages, farm shops and arts and crafts center through the Southern Drakensberg Mountains. Get surrounded by towering mountain peaks and get to meet colorful characters while browsing the local produce in this wonderful area. We will also stop at one or two of the local breweries to sample the local tipples. Today take the opportunity to get in to the mountains and get active. Join a guided walk, go mountain biking or horse riding, fish in the lakes or rivers or even kayak in the fast flowing mountain waters. Any of these activities can be arranged.
In the afternoon we will make our way to the Battlefield Sites of Spionkop or Islandwana. This is an opportunity to discover more about South Africa’s colourful past.

After breakfast take a full day battlefield tour. Discover more about the Boer War (The Boer Republic and Great Britain) or the Zulu Wars (Zulus, Great Britain and The Boers). The guides are incredibly animated and informative; guests will get fully immersed in the drama and atmosphere of these great battles.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight home or optional Yampu Tours add-on.
