Lodge Overview
This is a unique opportunity to experience and explore the Tarangire and Manyara ecosystem. Maramboi Tented Camp offers permanent camp facilities and endless vistas of rolling golden grasslands and palm lined desert between Tarangire and Manyara Lake. A visit to the area is essential for anyone interested in evolution and the origins of Mankind and an explanation of the Rift Valley and Africa’s big picture. It is a complete semi desert experience focusing on game drives. An impressive landscape from the Rift Valley gives the visitor an amazing natural welcome to an area extraordinarily rich in wildlife. The camp offers stunning views of the Manyara National Park, Rift Valley, Ngorongoro highlands and on clear days even Oldonyo Lengai a sacred mountain to the Maasai. 40 spacious tents built on ample wooden decks, among them there are 26 standard rooms, 10 suites and 2 units with 2 rooms interconnected, ideal for families with children. Activities include, game drives, bird watching on the shores of the not too distant Lake Manyara and cultural interaction with Datoga and Maasai tribes, whose bomas populate the adjacent land.

Lake Manyara National Park
Located at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara National Park is regarded as small in size, yet its ground water forests offers a vast change in scenery. One can find an abundance of elephants and on occasion can spot a tree-climbing lion. This area’s temperature is generally considered mild and temperate however it is certainly cold in the evenings thus warm clothing is highly recommended for morning game drives.
