Lodge Overview
A 32 bedroom lodge approximately 4 hours from Puerto Maldonado airport, this property is ideal for science enthusiasts, soft adventurers and families. Refugio Amazonas is found on a 490 acre private reserve within the buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve. Some of the delightful activities operated from the lodge include a visit to a working jungle farm and a real Brazilian nut concession giving you perspective as to the way of life in the rain forest.

Puerto Maldonado
Puerto Maldonado is often a starting point for jungle trips, but the city itself has some exciting attractions of its own. Enjoy some ice cream while taking beautiful pictures in Plaza de Armas, the main square. Visit the Rescue Snake House to see several species of rescued reptiles. Or take a trip to the markets for souvenirs.
