Enjoy today's incredible excursion to the archaeological sites of Uxmal and Kabah. Uxmal was built around 700 A.D. The rich, green, fertile land provides a perfect setting for some of the most magnificent ancient pyramids, buildings and temples of the ancient Mayan world. One can sense the history here while walking around and gazing at the stunning architecture and majestic layout of this ancient city. The Piramide del Adivino (the Oracle's Pyramid) stands majestically above other buildings, and a climb to its summit will be rewarding with its spectacular views of the entire half-square-mile ancient city. Kabah is located south of Uxmal connecting both archaeological sites by a grand 18-kilometer-long pedestrian causeway with monumental arches at each end. Kabah is the second largest ruin of the Puuc region, after Uxmal. The most famous structure at Kabah ruins is the Palacio de las Mascaras (the Palace of the Masks), its facade decorated with hundreds of stone masks of the long-nosed rain god Chaac. The site also has a number of other palaces, low stone buildings, and step-pyramid temples that one will be able to discover and enjoy. Overnight in Merida. ...read less
Chichen Itza
After breakfast, leave Merida on the way to the ancient archeological site of Chichen-Itza. The famous Mayan pyramids of Chichen-Itza are more than 1,500 years old. The site is divided into three sections. The north grouping of structures is distinctly Toltec in style. The central group appears to be from the early period. The southern group is known as "The Old Chichen." Here is where one will find a large ball court where Mayan men played a game called pok ta pok, full of symbolism and drama. Overnight in Chichen-Itza.

Coba & Cenotes

The archaeological site of Coba – which is Mayan for “Water Stirred by the Winds” – is next to a group of shallow lakes. The archaeological remains were found date back to AD 600. During the visit to these ruins, notice how pleasurably peaceful it is due to its isolation of the roads and nearby towns, and also due to less affluence of visitors. Animal lovers will find vast and abundant wildlife around Coba. The Cenotes, an intricate formation of water filled tunnels and caves, used to be sacred Mayan places believed to be for purification or sacrifices. Today, one can explore the majesty of underwater worlds in all their colorful, breathtaking beauty. ...read less

Overall the trip was a success
Overall the trip was a success all went according to plan which is very good given the number of locations etc. we enjoyed the three countries. We enjoyed Costa Rica the most with lots of wildlife sightings there and friendly people, but Mexico was close behind and apart from the Mayan ruins which lived up to expectations we did see quite a lot of wildlife there too.

Just wanted to let you know that we have had a fabulous time
Just wanted to let you know that we have had a fabulous time and are very impressed with your choice of hotels and areas. Because of this we would like to book through you a trip to Nicaragua for Dec 26,2013 for one week. All hotels were able to accommodate my dietary needs. We especially loved Lake Attilan and the hotel there. The guides were excellent except for the guide we had in Tikal. His name was Roni and he didn’t consider our needs but had his own agenda. After repeated requests for lunch, he delayed serving us lunch both days until 3PM. The trip to the temples was excellent in spite of him. He went into too much detail and his English was very hard to understand. The first day when arriving in Flores airport, we felt that we could have gone directly to the nature park, instead of driving 45minutes to the hotel, then a 45minute boat ride back to almost where we started to begin the walk. Otherwise the vacation was perfectly organized and I would like to thank you for that, Look forward to your proposal for Niaragua with top hotels. Happy New Year
