Once visitors have a feel for Athens, the tour continues with an introduction to Greek Cuisine. The Athens experience is then capped off with a delicious dinner with breathtaking views of the illuminated Acropolis.
Following Athens, epicureans will continue on to the island of Santorini aboard a zippy speedboat for a Greek Food & Wine Tasting Tour. On the tour, sommeliers will enjoy a visit to two family estate wineries for a unique tasting of distinctive volcanic wines and a 3-course meal of a “Greek Meze-style” menu at a local restaurant. The next day, accompanied by an expert local guide, the tour explores the history of Santorini with a walk through the traditional villages and historic towns.

Athens is the capital of Greece. It was also at the heart of Ancient Greece, a powerful civilization and empire. It had many fine buildings and was named after Athena, the goddess of wisdom and warfare.
Drive past the neo-classical buildings of the Academy, the University, and the National Library, and on to Omonia Square before moving on to Syntagma or "Constitution Square" (the heart of central Athens). Opposite is the Parliament building where the National Guards (Evzones) in their colorful uniform skirts and pompom shoes guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
See the Pan-Athenian Stadium, the all-white marble stadium where history was made as the site of the first modern Olympic Games. Nearby, the Temple of Zeus is separated from modern Athens by the tall stone structure Hadrian's Arch. Also view the Pnyx (the meeting place for the Assembly of the ancient city of Athens), the Theseum and the Agora with the reconstructed Stoa of Attalos. Then, on to the Acropolis, at the base of which stand the ancient theatres of Dionysos, and the still used Odeon of Herodes Atticus. Opposite is Philopapos Hill offering a magnificent panoramic view of Athens. The highlight is the visit to the Acropolis.
This comprehensive visit will reveal to you the splendor and timeless beauty of the Parthenon as well as its other monuments including the Propylaea, the Temple of Wingless victory, and the Erectheum.
The tour then ends with a visit to the New Acropolis Museum which holds more than 4,000 ancient works, including some of the best surviving classical sculptures that once adorned the Acropolis. The new facility, 21,000 square meters (226,000 square feet) of glass and concrete, was designed by the New York-based architect Bernard Tschumi. The new Acropolis Museum is one of the largest in Europe and houses the archaeological findings related to the Acropolis hill and the Parthenon.

Places You'll See
-
Athens
Serving as the capital of Greece today, the ancient city was once the heart of the ancient Greece Empire and the birthplace of western civilization. Today, the city is still largely dominated by classical Greek landmarks dating as far back as the 5th century BC. This includes the hilltop citadel of Acropolis that hosts ancient buildings and temples such as the Parthenon, devoted to the goddess of wisdom and patron of the city, Athena. Aside from the fascinating historic landmarks, visitors will also enjoy the local cafes, museums and the nearby beaches of Attica.
-
Santorini
Located in the Cyclades Islands in the Aegean Sea, the volcanic island of Santorini is one of the most sought out destinations of the Greek islands. Visitors flock to the ‘grammable’ cliffside cities of Oia, Fira, and Pyrgos and others to take in the iconic seaside views with charming, whitewashed buildings, Cycladic churches, and windmills. Honeymooners will enjoy the romantic atmosphere while lounging on the colorful sand beaches, some clothing optional. From beach lounging and enjoying sunset drinks, to hiking the island for views of the volcano and ancient ruins, Santorini has much to offer.
-
Crete
The largest island in Greece, Crete provides visitors with an array of opportunities along its varied landscapes with remnants of brilliant civilizations throughout its history. Though Crete is famed for its brilliantly idyllic beaches, visitors will also enjoy many land experiences including hiking to discover Roman and Turkish ruins, touring the local olive farms and vineyards, and dining on some of the most delicious seafood.

Everything went smoothly
Everything went smoothly. We were very pleased with Cecil, our guide in Rio, and India, our guide in Iguazu. Also in Iguazu, the driver, Aloisio(?), was a delightful guy. The day trip to Petropolis was very pleasant. We had a truly outstanding meal, one of the best in Brazil (and we ate at DOM in Sao Paulo and other top restaurants there), at the Leopoldina in the lovely Solar do Imperio Hotel. The best thing about the Porto Bay, by far, was the Copacabana location and the roof deck with spectacular views. Otherwise, the rooms were very plain and the Internet was costly and the connection was quite poor. We liked the Santa Teresa neighborhood and the hotel was great. Unfortunately, there were a couple of holidays and some closings of good spots with the best views. We can recommend a little seafood place near the hotel, Sobre Natural.Iguazu was stunning. Das Cataratas a super place. We liked being able to walk to the Falls just outside the hotel. The day trek and zodiac on the river was a fun adventure. Happy to answer any questions happy to recommend our itinerary and Yampu.

Everything you arranged was perfect to the last detail
Everything you arranged was perfect to the last detail. The hotels were all nice. My favorite was probably Remota, in Puerto Natales, Chile. Their food was excellent, tour guides and drivers are all professionals. I learned a lot.
