Tour Overview
Travel through the old country and embark on A Sicilian Journey from Palermo to Syracuse, taking in the island’s gorgeous views, rich history, and famed cuisine along the way.
Starting with a walking tour of Palermo, the tour takes visitors through the city to discover its striking architectural elements to see how the region’s ever-changing culture contributed to its development.
After tasting some of the world’s best cannolis, the tour stops at one of Sicily’s most beautiful towns, Cefalu, before appreciating the many ancient palaces and churches of Polizzi Generosa.
Continuing the tour on to Syracuse, travelers will make several stops in quaint local villages to take in spectacular views across the surrounding countryside and appreciate the Roman and Greek temples and ruins along the way.
Stopping in Ragusa, foodies will take part in a Sicilian cooking class to learn how to make typical Sicilian dishes before heading to Modica, the capital of the greatest chocolate in Italy, for a visit of a local laboratory and a tasting of artisan chocolates.
The tour is then capped off with an unforgettable journey to the summit of Mount Etna to walk around the crater and visit an extraordinary winery on the slopes of this legendary volcano to taste fabulous local wines.
