Can’t think of a single thing we didn’t love about the whole experience
Can’t think of a single thing we didn’t love about the whole experience. From the phone conversations with Yampu to the representatives who met us at each airport and hotel everyone was great. And the properties they set us up with?! Amazing! Their own websites didn’t do them justice. Every day was better than the day before so every day you saw me was the best day of my life.

I had a great time in South Africa
I had a great time in South Africa. It was much different than I expected. We experienced many fine dining moments including an excellent Italian Restaurant in Cape town with an interesting menu. Overall the food costs in all of South Africa were very reasonable and the best bottle of South African wine was about $30 in a restaurant. Addo Elephant Park was a wonderful place with more elephants than could be counted. A stay at Arathusa Safari Lodge made the entire trip worth going here. They made us and everyone feel welcome. The food was good and the dinners were served in different locations each night. The guides were knowledgeable and lead us to see the big five and other creatures. I managed to get up for the morning drive at 5 am and enjoyed the evening rides more than the morning ones. It was novel having a Gin and Tonic in the bush mid way through the evening ride. We were not disappointed and I was only able to take about 2,000 photos of the animals. Seeing animals outside your window or hearing them at night made it very special. The leopard below was an angry mother who was upset that we got too close to her and her nursing cubs. This was taken from about 10 feet from her as she approached the land rover.
