Kunoy Island & Klaksvik Tour
We suggest visiting the island of Kunoy. From the tiny village of Kunoy, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the island of Kalsoy. Above the village is a small cozy park. A local legend tells that there is a plank from Noah's ark on a high mountain in Kunoy. Clams and seashells grow on it. People who have gotten lost in the fog have seen the plank, but no one who has gone looking for it has ever found it.
Back on Eysturoy, we recommend driving towards the village of Toftir to take the new subsea tunnel to Torshavn. Spend the night in Torshavn.

Eysturoy is separated by a narrow sound from the main island of Streymoy. Eysturoy is extremely rugged, with some 66 separate mountain peaks, including Slættaratindur, the highest peak in the archipelago at 880 meters (2,890 ft). The country’s two longest fjords, Skálafjørður in the south and Funningsfjørður in the north, almost split the island into two halves. The isthmus in between, Millum Fjarða, is one of the flattest areas in the country. Important settlements on Eysturoy are Fuglafjørður in the north and the densely populated area of the municipalities of Runavík and Nes in the south.

Torshavn
Tórshavn, on Streymoy Island, is the capital city of the Faroe Islands. It’s known for its old town, Tinganes, crammed with wooden turf-roofed houses on a small peninsula. Nearby is Tórshavn Cathedral, rebuilt in the 19th century. Local boutiques dot the main shopping strip, Niels Finsens gøta. Our agent Stephanie was the best!!
Our agent Stephanie was the best!!! We were going to several countries in Africa and she made sure our trip was safe, comfortable and loaded with lots of fun. We had trusted tour companies and interesting guides. We always felt we were in good hands. Once one of our connecting flights was late and she already knew it and took care of the issue and us! We have used Stephanie twice now. Once in South America and once in Africa. Our trips were fun and so memorable. Thanks Stephanie.
