Tour Overview
Walk like an Egyptian in this grand tour of Egypt. This trip will provide the opportunity to explore all the major highlights of Egypt and ending the trip relaxing on the sandy beaches in Hurghada on the Red Sea. Start in Cairo, the capital city of Egypt, the major center of civilization and a cultural crossroads for millennia. Go to Alexandria, the famous ancient city originally founded by Alexander the Great. Visit Luxor, home to several ancient Egyptian sites like the famous Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the colossi of Memnon, temples of Karnak and Luxor, and the famous temples of Dendera and Abydos. Head to Aswan, a charming town north of the Nubian border and location of unique sites including the High Dam and unfinished obelisk located in the granite quarries outside of the city. Finish this grand tour with a visit to the site of Abu Simbel, where two temples stand, built for Rameses II and his wife Queen Nefertari.

In the evening, head to the pier for a Nile dinner cruise. For two hours sail along the Nile in luxury, while enjoying a belly dancer, folklore show, western music as well as a delicious dinner.

Tour of the Giza Pyramids
Today we will leave the hotel to embark on a full day tour of the Giza Pyramids, Memphis and Saqqara. We will visit the towering pyramids, the ruins of Memphis in the village of Mit Rahina, and then onto the Saqqara Necropolis, where the step pyramid of Zoser stands. Lunch included.
Head back to the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Early this morning, head from Cairo to Alexandria. In Alexandria, visit the National museum, the fort of Quaitbay (built on the original site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria and from the lighthouse ruins), the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa (a series of Alexandrian tombs, statues and other artifacts influenced by the Hellenistic and Roman funeral cult), the Pomey Piller and the Roman theatre. Finally walk in Montazah Gardens on the grounds of the Montazah Palace. Lunch is included. Evening return to Cairo.

Exploring the Valley of the Kings
Enjoy the morning at leisure.
In the afternoon, transfer to the Valley of the Kings for a half day tour of the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and of the colossi of Memnon. The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut also served as a dedication to the sun god Amon-Ra, and was the first of its kind to depict the heritage of divinity of a female Pharoah. The Colossi of Memnon are two enormous moments to Pharoah Amenhotep III.
In the evening, return back to the hotel.

This morning, head to the magnificent the temples of Dendera and Abydos, the best examples of fine architecture from Ancient Egypt. The Temple of Dendera is one of the best preserved temple complexes in Egypt, and Abydos was known in ancient Egypt as one of the best places to be buried.
In the evening, head to the sound and light show at Karnak, which narrates the history of the temple as well as the ancient city of Thebes, including the lives and achievements of the Pharaohs who built the necropolis.
Head back to the hotel after the show.

This morning depart for a half day tour to visit the High Dam, the unfinished Obelisk, and the Philae Temple. The unfinished Obelisk lies in the quarry north of the city and would have been the largest ancient Egyptian obelisk if it had been finished. The Philae Temple was actually moved from its original site due to the construction of the High Dam.

Abu Simbel
Today transfer to the airport for a flight to Abu Simbel. Upon arrival, reception and transfer out for a tour.

Cairo
The word “Cairo” in Arabic means “the Vanquisher” or “the Conqueror”, understandable when one realizes that it has been a major center of civilization and a cultural crossroads for millennia. One of the largest and most densely populated cities in Africa and the middle east, Cairo is the capital of Egypt. Cairo is most often associated with ancient Egypt due to its close quarters with the ancient ruins of the cities Giza, Memphis, and Fustat. Here is where one can witness the magnificence of the Pyramids of Giza as well as the great Sphynx. Take in the history and local culture with some coffee while enjoying sheesha (flavored tobacco through a water pipe) and appreciating the desert heat.

A village south of the large city of Aswan, Abu Simbel is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Abu Simbel is known for its two breathtaking temples. These temples are known as some of the most magnificent temples in the world. The temples date back to the 13th-century BC. The first temple was built by the Pharaoh Ramses II, and the second was built for his wife Queen Nefertari. Their original location in now underwater, but the temples were successfully transported to their new location in 1960s.
